Let’s regenerate our ocean together!
Our purpose is to gather communities from across the UAE and inspire them to make positive changes to help our ocean. Our motto ‘educate, motivate, and activate’ is more than just a tag line, it’s how we achieve success to restore coral reefs, reduce debris, and achieve a healthier ocean. As a volunteer-led organisation, we run activities, workshops and educational events that are focused on awareness and improving biodiversity. We want to encourage corporates, schools and individual ocean ambassadors to make a big change and spread the importance of keeping our ocean alive.
We’re pleased to be accredited by the United National Environment Assembly (UNEA) of the UN Environment Program, enabling Azraq to have a seat at the table in terms of worldwide environmental policy decisions.

THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY
Azraq is a uniquely United Arab Emirates focused campaign.
With 2018 being our foundation year and marking 100 years since the birth of Sheikh Zayed – the founding father who united the Emirates – we want to celebrate and promote the values Sheikh Zayed instilled across the nation, particularly the values of tolerance, progression, environmentalism, leadership and charity.
Azraq not only focuses on the protection, defence and conservation of marine life, but enables partnerships to be formed with government and non-government entities and individuals for the good of the United Arab Emirates and its marine environment.
