These Terms

1. Please take the time to read and understand these Event Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) prior to signing up to attend or participate in any event hosted or organized by AZRAQ (“Event”).

1. By completing and submitting our Event Registration Form (here) (“Sign-Up Form”) you agree that these Terms become a legally binding contract between you and AZRAQ (“AZRAQ”, “we” or “us”), a not-for-profit civil organisation established in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
   
   

• When registering for an Event, you must provide AZRAQ with accurate and complete information in the Sign-Up Form. It is your responsibility to inform AZRAQ of any changes to the information provided (including, without limitation, your email address) by emailing us at activation@azraqme.org. 

1. Event attendance is open to individuals who are at least 21 years old and both individuals (i) who have signed up to a membership with AZRAQ by completing the Membership Application Form (see here) (“AZRAQ Members”); and (ii) individuals who have not signed up to a membership with AZRAQ (“Non-Members”). Subject to Section 4.2, and depending upon the nature of the Event, Attendees can also bring their children to certain Events by selecting the relevant number of children from the dropdown menu within the Sign-Up Form. Under such circumstances, the Attendee who submits the Sign-Up Form remains the party to these Terms and is responsible for ensuring that their children comply with these Terms at all times.

1. Event attendance applications are subject to approval by AZRAQ. AZRAQ reserves the right to reject any application for any reason whatsoever.
   
   
   

1. Events

1. A complete list of upcoming Events can be accessed here (“Events Calendar”). AZRAQ reserves the right to update its Events Calendar at any time. 

1. Further, AZRAQ reserves the right to update the format, date, timing and / or location of any Event at any time prior to its commencement, for any reason whatsoever. If, as a result of such changes after you have registered your attendance, you are no longer able to attend an Event, please contact us at activation@azraqme.org.

1. AZRAQ reserves the right to cancel any Event prior to its commencement for any reason whatsoever. In the event of such cancellation AZRAQ will notify Attendees as soon as possible and will refund any Event Fees (as defined at Section 3.2, below) paid by Non-Members. AZRAQ Members will not be entitled to any compensation with respect to cancelled Events.

1. Events have limited capacity and spots are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis. Further. AZRAQ makes no commitment as to the contents, success or attendance of a particular Event.

1. Registration is unique to the Attendee who registers for the Event. You may not assign, sell or transfer any Event registration or your right to attend any Event.  
   
   

1. Event Fees

1. Events are generally free to attend for AZRAQ Members. However, certain Events (e.g. Mangrove planting Events) will be subject to the payment of an additional fee for AZRAQ Members.

1. Non-Members are welcome to attend, subject to the payment of the relevant Event fee (“Event Fee”) at the time of completing the Sign-Up Form
   
   

1. Event Conduct

1. Attendees shall, and shall ensure that their children shall, at all times when participating in, or attending, the Event:

1. observe all rules, policies and procedures and health and safety requirements related to the Event, as may be communicated to the Attendee from time to time;

1. comply with all relevant UAE laws;

1. comply with the instructions of the Event organisers and / or representatives; and

1. behave in a respectful and professional manner. Any harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate behaviour, towards any other Attendee, AZRAQ staff member and / or Event organisers, will not be tolerated.

1. Attendees are solely and exclusively responsible for closely monitoring the behavior of their children, and for ensuring their safety, throughout Events. 

1. Attendees shall not be permitted to take visual, audiovisual or audio recordings of other Attendees, or their children, at any Event.

1. Attendees shall not post negative or disparaging content with respect to AZRAQ, or any Event, on any social media platform. 
   
   

1. Liability

1. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AZRAQ’s total aggregate liability to Attendees (including their children) in connection with these Terms, and any Events, shall be limited to: 

1. AED 100 for Members; and

1. a sum equal to the Event Fees, for non-Members. 

1. Under no circumstances, shall AZRAQ be liable to any Attendee (including their children) for any indirect or consequential loss.

1. To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, under no circumstances shall AZRAQ be liable for:

1. any harm or loss suffered as a result of the acts or omissions of the Attendees;

1. any harm or loss suffered as a result of a failure of the acts or omissions of Attendees (or their children) to comply with these Terms or AZRAQ’s instructions;

1. any physical injury or communicable disease suffered in connection with the attendance of an Event, other than under circumstances where such physical injury results from our negligence;

1. any harm or loss to Attendees’ children as result of a failure to the Attendee to comply with Section 4.2; and

1. the acts of omissions of third parties involved in the planning, organisation or delivery of Events. Further, any views expressed by any attendee, speaker, exhibitor or sponsor at the Event are their own. AZRAQ shall have no liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any attendee, speaker, exhibitor or sponsor at the Event or in any material provided to Attendees.
   
   Insurance

1. It is the sole responsibility of Entrant to arrange appropriate personal insurance appropriate or necessary in connection with their attendance at the Event.
   
   

1. Changes to these Terms

1. We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms at any time by updating them on our website. The current version of these Terms is the version available [INSERT LINK]. By attending any Event you agree to the then current version of these Terms. 
   
   

1. Miscellaneous

1. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us and supersede all previous agreements, promises, assurances and representations (whether written or oral) relating to its subject matter.

1. If any provision of these Terms is found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the other provisions of these Terms which shall remain in full force and effect.

1. No failure to exercise and no delay in exercising any right, power of remedy under these Terms will operate as a waiver. Nor will any single or partial exercise of any right, power or remedy preclude any other or further exercise of that or any other right, power or remedy.

1. You may not assign, or otherwise transfer your rights or obligations, under these Terms (including any right to attend an Event).

1. We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms if that failure or delay is due to any event beyond its reasonable control, provided that the party notifies the other party of any anticipated delay or interruption due to such event as soon as is reasonably practicable.

1. No third party shall have the right to enforce any provision of these Terms.

1. You shall not represent yourself as an agent or employee of AZRAQ and hereby acknowledge and agree that you do not have the right or authority to bind AZRAQ for any purpose whatsoever.
   
   

1. Governing law and Forum for Resolution of Disputes

1. These Terms, including any disputes or claims (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.

1. The parties irrevocably agree that the Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes or claims (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation.
